Assessment Areas

Fine Motor skills:  Fine motor skills are defined as coordination of the small muscles located in the hands.   Examples of fine motor skills are cutting, tracing, writing.

Gross motor skills: Gross motor skills are defined as the coordination of the large muscles of the body.   Examples of gross motor skills are running, jumping, catching/throwing a ball, hopping.

Cognitive skills:  This includes learning and problem solving, logical thinking, representational and symbolic thinking

Social/Emotional skills: This includes behavior, manners, and being responsible for both oneself and others in the classroom.

Language Development: This includes listening, speaking, reading and writing.
